One year ago
One year ago, this was the happiest day of my life. We found out this day in the evening sometime at a doctors clinic after an ultrasound that we were going to have a boy. I remember the doctor's exact words when he gave us this news, and then when he described that our baby was fine and was in a sitting posture inside my stomach holding his face with both his little hands. Doctor said he didn't do lot of moving around but appeared a quiet baby and it was easy to take measurements. I remember the dress I was wearing. My husband and his mother (who was with us in Dubai that time) were with me. We all were so so happy. After the scan, we left to the Dubai mall where I had a molten date and fig cake. We watched the musical lake fountain and then returned home. Happy is too short a word to describe my state of mind on that day.
Until today last year, I referred to our baby as little Vitu slash little Chitu (Chitu for girl), but on this day it was confirmed that we were indeed having our little Vitu. I had always wanted this little boy. Even before I were married. I always wanted to have my own babies.
There is not a moment now in my life that passes without the thought of my baby. His face is permanently engraved into my mind. I see him everywhere, every time. I miss him so much that the words can never describe.
